HAZELNUT GROWING GUIDE

The first producer of hazelnuts in the world is Turkey with a production upper to 70% of the total of collected hazelnuts, followed by Italy with 14%, the United States (in particular Oregon) with 4% and Spain 3%. In recent years there have been realized several new hazel plants in Chile, Argentina, Georgia and South Africa.

SPECIAL HAZEL PLANT

The hazel plant has a characteristic bushy structure, with the very extensive radical apparatus and with a depth that varies depending on the characteristics of the soil.
